Kharkiv and Sumy in northeastern Ukraine continued to be attacked by Russia this morning; in Kharkiv, one person is known to have died and 7 were injured, and in Sumy, a drone hit a shopping mall, injuring three people, according to the heads of the local regional and military administrations, UNN reports.
Kharkiv
According to Oleh Syniehubov, head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, the enemy attacked the Shevchenkivskyi district of Kharkiv with a UAV. According to him, several cars caught fire.
"Currently, 7 people are known to have been injured as a result of the enemy attack on Kharkiv. Three of the injured are in serious condition. All are receiving the necessary medical care," the head of the Regional Military Administration reported on social media.
"One of the men injured today in Kharkiv, unfortunately, died in the hospital," Syniehubov said.
Emergency services, according to his words, continue to work at the site of the enemy strike.
Sumy
"Since early morning, the enemy has also been attacking the regional center. One of the drones hit a shopping mall in the center of Sumy," Oleh Hryhorov, head of the Sumy Regional Military Administration, wrote on social media.
"The enemy hit one of the shopping centers in the city center of Sumy," Serhiy Kryvosheienko, head of the Sumy City Military Administration, confirmed on social media.
Initially, two people were reported injured in the attack on the shopping mall. But later the number increased.
"The number of injured as a result of today's enemy attacks on Sumy has increased. As a result of the morning strike in the Kovpakivskyi district, there is a victim. The driver of a shuttle bus was leaving for a route and was nearby, sought medical attention due to the injury received. The number of victims as a result of the strike on the shopping mall increased to three. All four are receiving medical care in inpatient conditions," Kryvosheienko reported.
