In Kyiv's Obolon district, a driver opened fire following a road conflict and was detained with the involvement of KORD special forces, the capital's Main Directorate of the National Police reported on Monday, according to UNN.

Police established that a road dispute occurred between the drivers over right-of-way priority.
"During the argument, the perpetrator pulled out a pistol and fired three times toward the 41-year-old driver, then fled the scene. As a result of the shooting, one of the bullets hit the man in the abdomen. He has been hospitalized with a gunshot wound," the police stated.
As reported, police officers, "with the tactical support of the KORD special unit, detained the shooter at a dacha in the Kyiv region where he was hiding."
The man has been served a notice of suspicion; the sanction of the imputed article carries a penalty of up to 7 years in prison.
