A father and son doctor organized a scheme to issue fake disability certificates to evade mobilization. Over the course of a year, at least 10 men received fake certificates through the MSEC for $10,500 each.

In Prykarpattia region, doctors and officials of the Medical and Social Expert Committee were caught issuing fake disabilities to men of military age.  The service cost an average of 10 ,500 dollars.

This is reported by UNN with reference to the State Bureau of Investigation.

Another scheme of issuing fake disability certificates was blocked by SBI officers in Ivano-Frankivsk region. It involved doctors and officials of the Medical and Social Expert Commission from Ivano-Frankivsk region. The scheme was organized by a father and son - doctors from the Ivano-Frankivsk regional hospital and one of the regional hospitals, respectively. The scheme also involved doctors and officials from the city's MSEC

- the statement said.

They reportedly helped at least ten men establish fake disabilities during the year. The service cost an average of 10 ,500 dollars.

In particular, in April of this year, an acquaintance of his came to the doctor for advice about a heart problem. The doctor referred him to his father's regional hospital for an examination. The doctor offered the man a quick disability group, even without the necessary hospitalization. The doctor assured him that for money he could negotiate with MSEC officials to assign him a disability group III. After the MSEC made a decision on the “client's” disability and received the last part of the money, SBI officers detained the doctors

- the SBI informs.

They were both served a notice of suspicion of obtaining an unlawful benefit (Part 5 of Article 27, Part 3 of Article 368 of the Criminal Code).

The court left the head of the Khmelnitsky MSEC Krupa in custody09.12.24, 16:31

AddendumAddendum

The Ministry of Health reported that from January 1, 2025, an updated system for assessing a person's daily functioning will come into effect, which will replace the old corrupt MSEC model.  Lengthy approvals, unpredictable review processes and opportunities for corruption will be a thing of the past.
