The situation on the border with Belarus is fully controlled. Border guards do not observe any movement of equipment or personnel near the border. On the border with Russia, the situation is slightly different, as the threat of hostile subversive groups remains, said Andriy Demchenko, spokesman for the State Border Guard Service, during a telethon on Thursday, UNN reports.

"The situation in these two areas is excellent. On the border with Belarus, the situation is fully controlled. On the other side of the border or in the border area, we do not see any movement or presence of a strong group, despite the exercises that are being conducted or announced in Belarus. But, of course, we have to be prepared for any situation, so we are constantly building up engineering fortifications near the border and fortifications in the border area," Demchenko said.

He reiterated that Russia does not have sufficient forces on the territory of Belarus to invade again.

"The situation on the border with the aggressor country is, of course, a little different. First of all, there is the shelling that Russia continues to carry out from its territory in Chernihiv, Sumy and Kharkiv regions, and it uses all possible weapons, including aircraft and attack drones, to strike. As we can see, civilians are suffering from this. After all, the shelling is taking place in populated areas," added the spokesman.

Demchenko also said that there is still a threat of Russia using subversive reconnaissance groups.

"As before, the most active area they use is Sumy region. We also sometimes see that the enemy is trying to make such attempts in Kharkiv region. However, our soldiers are well aware of this threat, that's why we are constantly training, interacting, establishing cooperation between the units standing side by side so that all components have one direction to track the attempts of subversive reconnaissance groups. We also use technical means, including UAVs, to expose the enemy in advance and immediately open fire on such groups," summarized Demchenko.
