Passengers at Trudeau International Airport in Montreal, Canada, faced serious delays on Tuesday due to technical problems, UNN reports, citing CBC News.
Details
The airport said the delays were mainly related to check-in for Air Canada and Sunwing domestic and international flights.
There were also problems at checkpoints, as well as with the baggage tagging system.
"Unfortunately, I cannot say at this time when we will be able to restore the network during the day," Anne-Sophie Hamel, a representative of Aéroports de Montréal (ADM), told reporters around 11 a.m. local time on Tuesday.
And after the systems are restored, she noted that there will still be delays due to the disruptions that began Tuesday morning.
She noted that the delays were related to a network upgrade that was scheduled for March 24, but did not go as planned.
