The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine called the attack on servicemen in Lviv on the night of July 8-9 unacceptable. They stated that "everyone is equal before the law," reports UNN citing the press service of the department.
Details
The Ministry of Defense noted that responsibility must follow in any case of violence and aggression. They also added that "mobilization is a necessary component of Ukraine's defense, and the methods require improvement, and this process is ongoing."
The only one who benefits from such situations is the enemy. Hate speech towards one's own army will lead to irreversible changes. We expect law enforcement agencies to provide a proper assessment of the situation in Lviv. The offenders must be identified and brought to justice
Recall
On the evening of July 8 in Lviv, in the Sykhiv district, a crowd tried to "free" a man from TCC employees under shouts of "shame" and began beating the official TCC vehicle, which, according to local public reports, was overturned. The police and the local TCC stated that the conflict occurred due to the detention of a military-liable man who was wanted.
Lviv Mayor Andriy Sadovyi urged everyone to remain calm, "to be wise and not forget who our real enemy is."
The Head of the Office of the President, former Chief of the GUR of the Ministry of Defense Kyrylo Budanov also reacted to the conflict involving the crowd and TCC representatives in Lviv.
