Currently, there are more than 10 cases of cholera in different schools in Mariupol. It's too early to talk about an epidemic, but there is a great threat that the situation could quickly escalate. According to him, last week, Russians were very active and powerful in spreading fake information on the territory of Donetsk region that Ukraine was trying to poison Donetsk region, use some non-existent biological weapons and poison it with cholera.
This means that, in principle, the sanitary services of the occupation authorities already understood that there was a very high threat of the spread of cholera in Mariupol and beyond
He noted that, as has been known since 2022, the cholera bacillus is present and lives in the Sea of Azov.
Given the rapid warming and the fact that the number of people who have moved to Mariupol, primarily Russians, has put an additional strain on the city's infrastructure.
