According to him, the topic of China became one of the central ones during his negotiations with US President Donald Trump at the NATO summit. As Zelenskyy said, Beijing reacted very harshly to voices in Russian media regarding the possibility of using nuclear weapons in response to strikes by the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
It is very important to emphasize that not only Europeans, not only America, but also China. And it seems to me that this is the first time they reacted very clearly and very harshly - as I was told - in an ultimatum form, that there cannot even be thoughts about the use of nuclear weapons
He added that on the issue of China's role in ending the war in Ukraine, "the situation has changed a bit" - European partners reported that the Chinese side has taken a noticeably tougher stance than before.
