Law enforcement officers in Chernihiv have released details of the shooting on April 19 on one of the city's streets. This is reported by UNN with reference to the Main Directorate of the National Police in Chernihiv Oblast.
Details
According to law enforcement agencies, two men showing signs of alcohol intoxication were walking down the street, and one of them fired several shots into the air from a starter pistol. No one was injured as a result of the shots.
Subsequently, a 23-year-old man was detained. The weapon was seized from him - the motives for the crime are also being established.
Under the procedural guidance of the prosecutor's office, criminal proceedings have been initiated under Part 1 of Article 296 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (hooliganism). The sanction of the article provides for a fine, arrest for up to 6 months, or restriction of liberty for up to 5 years.
The detainee is being prepared for a notice of suspicion - the pre-trial investigation is also ongoing.
