The body of Anastasiia Berezovska, suspected of attempting to murder a family in Monaco, among whom Ukrainian businessman Vadym Yermolaiev was named, has been found. Two suspects have been detained in the case, including an employee of the GUR of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, and a notice of suspicion is being prepared, reported the Office of the Prosecutor General, showing a video, writes UNN.

In connection with this fact, Ukrainian law enforcement agencies launched a pre-trial investigation on July 1, 2026.
According to law enforcement, "the suspect arrived in Ukraine on July 1, 2026." As a result of investigative (search) and operational measures, the circle of her contacts and travel routes were established.
The investigation established that "after returning to Ukraine, she communicated with her family and two men. The first is a former law enforcement officer, the second is an active employee of the GUR of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine."
"Having information that both men repeatedly made transfers to the crypto and bank accounts of Berezovska A., the investigation considered them as persons possibly involved in the attempted murder in Monaco," the Office of the Prosecutor General stated.
Urgent investigative (search) actions were carried out with them, during which the active employee of the GUR of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine reported the murder of citizen Berezovska A., which he committed jointly with another suspect. At the same time, the latter stated that he did not inform his leadership about contacts with Berezovska A., the transfer of funds to her, or any other of his actions and acted at his own discretion
"Also, during a search at the home of the former law enforcement officer, a basement room resembling a torture chamber was discovered," the statement of the Office of the Prosecutor General reads.
Both suspects have been detained on suspicion of committing murder by prior conspiracy by a group of persons. Based on the testimony of one of the accomplices, an investigative experiment was conducted, the body of Berezovska A. was found with gunshot wounds to the head and pistol casings. A notice of suspicion is being prepared. The investigation continues
All available information from Ukrainian law enforcement, as noted, "has been provided to the investigative authorities of the Principality of Monaco." The Office of the Prosecutor General is in close cooperation with the law enforcement agencies of the Principality of Monaco.
Law enforcement agencies are identifying the masterminds and other suspects in the attempted murder of the family in Monaco.
The pre-trial investigation is being conducted by the National Police of Ukraine with operational support from the counterintelligence of the SBU and personal assistance from the head of the GUR of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, Oleh Ivashchenko.
