In the Polish city of Gdańsk, the fourth meeting of the G7+ Ukraine Energy Coordination Group, also known as the "Energy Ramstein," took place. The event was attended by 20 countries, EU representatives, and 6 international organizations, reports UNN citing Ukraine's Minister of Energy Denys Shmyhal.

As the official noted, the priority tasks for 2026-2027 are simultaneously ensuring the resilience of the energy system under wartime conditions and its full integration into the European energy space. This includes:
- protection of energy infrastructure;
- restoration of damaged capacities;
- development of distributed generation;
- injection of gas into underground storage facilities and development of interstate interconnectors.
Over the year 2026, partners contributed more than 317 million euros to the Ukraine Energy Support Fund. However, the total volume of unmet needs already exceeds 650 million euros. The largest share falls on the restoration and repair of damaged energy facilities — 295 million euros. About 192 million euros are needed for the development of distributed generation. Another nearly 148 million euros are required to form an emergency reserve and purchase critically important equipment
He also added that following the meeting, the partners announced additional aid for Ukraine's energy sector:
- United States of America - $175 million;
- Sweden - €137 million;
- Norway - €77 million;
- Estonia - €2.125 million;
- Iceland - €550 thousand;
- Lithuania - €4 million.
