Ukrainian businessman Vadym Yermolaiev, who was the target of an assassination attempt in Monaco, has come out of a coma and his condition has significantly improved, reports UNN citing Nice Matin.
Details
According to the publication, the companion of the Ukrainian businessman, Anna Nasobina, was taken to a hospital in Nice in critical condition after the assassination attempt. Her limbs were amputated, and according to the Monaco prosecutor's office, her life remains in danger.
"In recent days, Ukrainians have repeatedly performed blood transfusions, and she risks losing several senses (sight, hearing, speech). Both of her legs have already been amputated," the article states.
Furthermore, the publication reports that "Vadym Yermolaiev, hospitalized in Marseille, has come out of a coma, and his condition has significantly improved."
A 13-year-old child, also injured in the explosion, was hospitalized at a children's hospital in Nice with injuries that are not life-threatening.
Recall
On June 30, an explosion occurred in a residential building in Monaco, which reportedly injured three people: Vadym Yermolaiev, his common-law wife, and their 13-year-old son. According to media reports, all three were immediately taken to the hospital.
It was immediately reported that the suspect fled to France. The Monaco prosecutor's office classified the explosion as an attempted murder, not a terrorist act.
Media reported a possible connection between the Yermolaiev family and international networks of fraudulent call centers in Dnipro. This refers to telephone fraud schemes that, according to investigations in various countries, operated under the guise of investment platforms and support services.
Vadym Yermolaiev is the founder of the Alef corporation and one of the most prominent developers and industrialists in Ukraine. His business interests include real estate, production of building materials, the agricultural sector, mining, logistics, and the alcohol industry. In 2019, the businessman renounced his Ukrainian citizenship and obtained citizenship of Cyprus.
