Minister of Internal Affairs Ihor Klymenko and Head of the Security Service of Ukraine Vasyl Malyuk are promptly reporting on the search for the attacker of Iryna Farion. This was announced by the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy, reports UNN.
“All the necessary forces of the National Police of Ukraine and the Security Service of Ukraine are involved to establish the circumstances of this crime. Doctors are fighting for the life of Iryna Farion,” Zelenskyy said on Telegram.
The President emphasized that “any violence deserves only condemnation and everyone who is guilty of this attack must be held fully accountable.

According to the National Police, the assassination attempt took place today around 19:30 on a street in Lviv. An unknown person fired a gunshot at a 60-year-old woman. Doctors hospitalized the victim with a head wound.
Investigators, operatives, and the leadership of the Lviv regional police are working at the scene. Measures are being taken to identify and detain the shooter, law enforcement officials added.
Although the National Police does not name the public figure, a deputy of the Lviv City Council previously reported an attempt on the life of linguist Iryna Farion.
