The head of the Asset Recovery and Management Agency (ARMA), Olena Duma, has promised that the seized assets of the traitors will be used for the benefit of Ukraine, UNN reports.
This time, the Duma boasted that land plots in Kyiv owned by former MPs Viktor Medvedchuk and Taras Kozak through proxies had been transferred to the ARMA.
Also, according to her, the corporate rights of Orest PE, Oskorky-7 LLC, ACADEM-CLUB LLC, and FIRM VICTORIA PE were transferred to the National Agency for management.
The Head of ARMA stated that she had already instructed the Central Interregional Department to inspect the seized property.
Soon we will announce a competition to select an appraiser and transfer the asset to management. I have repeatedly noted that the seized assets of traitors to Ukraine will work for the benefit of our state
However, as the situation with the sale of Medvedchuk's yacht shows, it is not clear whether the matter will go beyond talk.
Context
ARMA has recently been in the spotlight for the loss of the Royal Romance yacht owned by Medvedchuk. Despite the yacht's arrest by a Croatian court and its transfer to Ukraine for sale, ARMA has not been able to sell the asset in two years.
Having investigated the topic, managed to find outthat the main delay in the sale of the yacht of the traitorous ex-MP was due to the fact that the new head of the ARMA, Olena Duma, had been preparing amendments to the legislation on the sale of foreign assets for almost six months. At the same time, at the time of her appointment to the ARMA, the Prosecutor General's Office, together with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, had already prepared a draft of the changes, but Duma categorically rejected it.
In this regard, the ARMA only launched a tender on March 20, 2024, to select a seller to sell the yacht, and a month later it finally selected the winner. It is worth noting that the selection of the winner took place a month before the expiration of the maximum period of seizure of this asset, which made its sale virtually impossible.
The head of the ARMA, Olena Duma, has already tried to hide her fiasco with the yacht by publishing news of the "successful" sale of one buggy and one ATV belonging to Medvedchuk. However, ARMA sold the buggy and ATV for UAH 920,000, while the yacht is estimated at almost UAH 8.5 billion.
However, having realized that the sale of Medvedchuk's much cheaper asset did not work, ARMA head Olena Duma is trying to switch public attention to another asset that is being attempted to be transferred to her management - the Gulliver business center in Kyiv. The head of the agency even published a video to demonstrate how "thoroughly and efficiently" her subordinates inspect the premises of the complex - it shows a group of men walking from one office to another and admiring the view from the window of the capital's complex.
