During the night of August 6, Yaroslavl came under a drone attack, after which Russian authorities blocked the road out of the city toward Moscow. This was reported by the Astra and Exilenova+ Telegram channels, UNN writes.

Yaroslavl Region Governor Mikhail Yevrayev said that the region was under attack by Ukrainian UAVs. According to him, for security reasons, traffic was blocked at the exit from Yaroslavl toward Moscow, starting from the intersection of Moskovsky Prospekt and the Southwestern Bypass Road.

Local residents are posting videos of explosions and the operation of Russian air defense systems on social media. At the same time, the Exilenova+ Telegram channel reports that the Yaroslavl oil refinery may have been the target of the attack.

The channel also reported that, after the air defense systems operated, several residential buildings caught fire in the city. As of the time of publication, there was no official confirmation of reports that the refinery had been hit or that buildings had been damaged. The Ukrainian side has also not commented on the reports of the attack.
