A citizen of Ukraine, who had been hiding from investigation since 2017 on suspicion of illegal trafficking of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances, has been extradited to Ukraine from the Republic of Poland, UNN reports, citing the Office of the Prosecutor General.

The extradition was ensured with the participation of the Office of the Prosecutor General, prosecutors of the Cherkasy Regional Prosecutor's Office, and the competent authorities of the Republic of Poland.
According to the investigation, in 2017 in Cherkasy, the man repeatedly sold amphetamine, cocaine, and the psychotropic substance mCPP, including in particularly large quantities.
Several episodes of sales have been documented. One of them involved the sale of over 4.4 thousand tablets containing mCPP with a total weight of over 71 g. Facts of amphetamine and cocaine sales have also been established. A separate episode concerns an attempt to smuggle narcotic drugs. As reported by the Office of the Prosecutor General, after leaving Ukraine, the man was hiding abroad. He was placed on the international wanted list, detained in Poland, and handed over to the Ukrainian side.
He is charged with attempted smuggling of narcotic drugs, as well as illegal sale of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances in particularly large quantities (Part 2 of Article 15, Part 1 of Article 305, Part 3 of Article 307 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
Currently, the suspect has been remanded in custody.
The pre-trial investigation is being conducted by investigators of the SBU in Cherkasy region under the procedural supervision of the Cherkasy Regional Prosecutor's Office.
