A record is set in Ukraine for the largest mass reading of Taras Shevchenko's poem Kateryna with 210 participants from 22 countries, organized by the Ministry of Culture and Information Policy.

The ICIP hosted a ceremony to set the Ukrainian record for the largest recitation of the poem by Ukrainians and foreigners. The record was set by 210 participants from 22 countries who recited lines from Kobzar's work. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Culture and Information Policy, UNN reports .

Details

The event was attended by acting Minister of Culture and Information Policy Rostyslav Karandieiev, Deputy Minister Anastasia Bondar, Director General of the World Records Book Hanna Krysiuk, and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Argentine Republic to Ukraine Elena Leticia Teresa Mikusinski, who was the first diplomat to join the flash mob.

We are pleased to have implemented this large-scale project: it was really difficult to bring together 210 people from all over the world. But we did it. Anything done with inspiration is unique in itself. And from uniqueness to record-breaking is just a step away,

- Rostyslav Karandeyev said.

It is noted that the flash mob brought together people of different ages, genders, and positions from all regions of Ukraine and from 22 countries. All participants who recited the poem will receive diplomas certifying the record.

Representatives of ministries, rescuers from the State Emergency Service, soldiers from the Armed Forces, the National Guard, border guards from the Lviv and Donetsk detachments of the State Border Guard Service, and others joined the poem.

The poem was also read by MPs, diplomats, actors, representatives of the public sphere, culture, and show business.
