Warner Bros. and DC have unveiled a new trailer for the movie "Supergirl," UNN reports.
Details
As Deadline notes, it teases a battle between the titular superheroine (Milly Alcock) and Krem of the Yellow Hills (Matthias Schoenaerts), among others.
The trailer begins with a conversation between Superman (David Corenswet) and Supergirl, in which he tries to guide her through an emotionally difficult and isolating period.
"Hey, I just wanted to check in with you to see when you think you'll be back," he says. "You know, I'm just worried you won't find your way here if you're constantly leaving this world, Kara. I'm worried you won't find your people."
Supergirl responds: "Yeah, well, that's the thing, Clark. I don't have people," later noting that "home is where" her beloved Krypto the Superdog is.
The trailer also offers a new look at the anti-hero Lobo, played by Jason Momoa, and shows Supergirl giving advice to Ruthye Marye Knoll (Eve Ridley), a young woman whose father was killed by Krem and company, stating that "revenge won't take away your pain."
Addendum
Following James Gunn's "Superman," which grossed over $618 million at the global box office last summer, "Supergirl" will be released in theaters and IMAX across North America on June 26. The latest DC Studios film was directed by Craig Gillespie from a screenplay by Ana Nogueira. Other cast members include David Krumholtz and Emily Beecham.
