Russian occupants have killed 50 priests and destroyed about 700 churches in Ukraine. This was stated by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in an interview with the Christian media outlet CBN News, UNN reports .
"A lot of priests, different priests, were captured or killed. By the way, they killed 50 of them and killed them in different ways. There is all the evidence of how they tortured them," Zelensky said.
According to him, the Russians tortured priests only because they were supposed to serve Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and their church.
Zelensky also said that the occupiers had destroyed about 700 churches.
"They attacked them with bombs, rockets, set fire to churches," Zelensky said.
