The winter support program will be financed from the funds that were included in the 2024 budget. 870 thousand applications have already been submitted for receiving 1 thousand UAH, First Deputy Prime Minister-Minister of economy of Ukraine Yulia Sviridenko said on the air of the telethon, reports UNN.
Sviridenko commented on the funds used to finance the Winter support program.
"These are not new funds. These are the funds that were included in the 2024 budget, a program to stimulate demand for Ukrainian goods. According to the remaining programs that were not used, which at the end of the year were all added to this program to stimulate demand and are actually the source of payment of this 1000 UAH. that is, these are funds that were budgeted," Sviridenko said.
She also said that 870 thousand applications have already been submitted from Ukrainians to receive 1 thousand UAH.
"As of 8:00, we had 30 thousand applications, as of 13:00, 870 thousand applications from Ukrainians have already been submitted, including 222 thousand for children," Sviridenko said.

In Ukraine, the program "Winter support" was launched. Starting today, in the Diya app, Ukrainians can apply for state aid in the amount of UAH 1,000. The program will be valid for three months – from December 1, 2024 to February 28, 2025. In particular, it can be spent on charity by donating money to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Earlier, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky was petitioned to refuse to implement the new support program to provide 1000 UAH per person. In particular, people are asking to direct these funds to the production of weapons, in favor of financing programs for the rehabilitation of war veterans.
The Petition calling for the cancellation or revision of the program of payment of 1 thousand UAH to Ukrainians received more than 25 thousand necessary votes.
People's deputy Yaroslav Zheleznyak , referring to the document on amendments to Government Decree No. 952, reportedthat 5 billion hryvnias will be spent on "Winter support" of Ukrainians from the state budget this year, and 10 billion hryvnias next year.
