As BBC Sport was told by Usyk's team director Serhii Lapin: "Usyk has already stated that he considers Deontay Wilder as an opponent for his last fight. This is a bout with significant potential in terms of sports, media, and the international arena."
American Wilder's manager Shelly Finkel told BBC Sport: "If Deontay is offered a fight with Usyk, he will agree."
The organizer of the bout could be Zuffa Boxing, and Usyk may join this new promotional project at the final stage of his career.
The company "Zuffa Boxing", headed by UFC President White and funded by Saudi Arabia, seeks to challenge the established model of promotion in boxing by recognizing its own champions instead of relying on the traditional belts of the sport's sanctioning bodies.
