The Ukrainian group of companies GROUND FORCE presented a new three-seat modification of the tactical buggy ATC BOLT 1000, created based on the experience of using previous models in combat units. This was reported by Defense Express, writes UNN.
Details
According to the publication, by the end of June, the Defense Forces of Ukraine had already received over 100 buggies manufactured by GROUND FORCE. They are used by assault, artillery units and UAV crews for logistics, evacuation of the wounded and transportation of weapons.
The new three-seat version has become cheaper than the six-seat version by approximately $3,000, and its cost, according to the manufacturer, is comparable to the price of an ATV with a liter engine. At the same time, the buggy provides greater payload capacity, a higher level of crew protection and better ergonomics.
The vehicle was adapted to the modern battlefield
The designers reduced the weight of the buggy by almost 100 kg, shortened the wheelbase by 700 mm and the overall length by 755 mm. This improved the vehicle's maneuverability and made it less visible under the threat of FPV drone strikes.
The cargo platform was also increased, allowing the transportation of ground robotic systems, containers with UAVs, mortars, anti-tank systems, automatic grenade launchers and ammunition without the use of trailers.
The buggy is equipped with a gasoline V-shaped engine with a displacement of 1000 cc and a power of 80 hp, and a 30-liter fuel tank. On the recommendation of the military, the manufacturer replaced aluminum wheels with steel ones to increase resistance to damage during operation.
Defense Express notes that the new modification does not replace the six-seat version of the ATC BOLT 1000, but complements the model range, offering units a more affordable platform for performing logistics and combat missions.
