Ukraine's proposal to Russian dictator Vladimir Putin regarding the end of the war is realistic and feasible. This is a chance for his regime to avoid collapse, reports UNN citing Ukraine's Minister of Foreign Affairs Andrii Sybiha.
Details
The Foreign Minister noted: Putin will never achieve his goals in Ukraine on the battlefield and he should acknowledge this. Sybiha also noted: the era of disarmament in the world has ended, when it comes to conventional weapons.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs also named four key elements of a sustainable peace for Ukraine:
- Legally binding bilateral security guarantees
from the United States;
- Military presence of partners on the territory of Ukraine
("boots on the ground") with American support;
- Ukraine's membership in the EU as an element of security guarantees;
- Strengthening the Ukrainian army and a support package to
deter further aggression.
