The State Service of Ukraine on Food Safety and Consumer Protection (Derzhprodspozhivsluzhba) issues veterinary passports of a new format to pet owners. About what is changing, UNN reports with reference to Derzhprodspozhivsluzhba.

The new document ensures a unified approach to the preparation of veterinary documentation, maintaining the health history of a pet and its identification. It contains information about:
- identification data of the animal;
- the owner;
- vaccinations;
- results of diagnostic tests;
- treatment;
- other veterinary and preventive measures.
The veterinary passport is filled out in Ukrainian and English to make it convenient for use both in Ukraine and abroad.
The main changes will look like this:
- the document is issued according to a single template,
approved in accordance with new legislation;
- each passport has a unique identification number,
which consists of the code of Ukraine (UA), a series, and a serial number;
- the forms are printed exclusively by printing enterprises in accordance with the requirements established by Derzhprodspozhivsluzhba, which ensures their authenticity and protection against forgery.
At the same time, owners of old veterinary passports do not need to exchange them for new ones.
At the same time, a veterinary passport of the new format can only be issued at state veterinary medicine institutions that have the right to issue veterinary documents.
