Ukraine is actively preparing for the heating season by increasing gas production and reserves. The price of gas for Ukrainians will not change at least until the end of April next year. This was stated by Oleksiy Chernyshov, CEO of Naftogaz Group, during a speech at the Congress of Local and Regional Councils chaired by the President of Ukraine. It is noted that all household consumers will pay UAH 7.96 per cubic meter of natural gas by the end of the next heating season.

Currently, Naftogaz is increasing production, filling storage facilities, and working closely with local authorities to ensure a timely start to the heating season and improve payments. Currently, natural gas remains a guaranteed, most predictable and stable source of energy for all categories of consumers, including heat and power producers.
Naftogaz noted that the next heating season will be the second in a row that Ukraine plans to run on its own gas.

Naftogaz Group companies produced 8.6 bcm of commercial gas in seven months of 2024. This is 10% more than in the same period last year, thanks to new wells and technologies.
