The Ukrainian tax authorities have fined the company that operates the PornHub website $5543. This was announced by the chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Finance, Taxation and Customs Policy, Danylo Hetmantsev, UNN reports.

According to Hetmantsev, not all taxpayers operating adult services are equally responsible for taxation.
He reminded that the well-known Onlyfans service has already paid USD 944.1 thousand to the state budget of Ukraine since the beginning of 2023.
At the same time, the company that operates the PornHub website evaded registration, which resulted in a fine of $5,543. The company was fined USD 5,543 and a corresponding notice was sent to the company and the Canada Revenue Agency

The head of the Verkhovna Rada Committee also noted that "every penny of the so-called Google tax goes to finance the needs of the army, and Ukraine is ranked by PornHub at 14th place among other countries in terms of consumer views of electronic services on this site."
