As a result of visits to prisoners of war in Russia, some of them were able to communicate with their relatives for the first time, although the Ukrainian side regularly provides Russians with the opportunity to call home. Therefore, the Verkhovna Rada Commissioner for Human Rights Dmytro Lubinets said during a national telethon that Ukraine demands appropriate treatment of its military, UNN reports.
We have no problems communicating with the Russians, they are satisfied with the conditions of detention. They have no problems, unlike our heroes, in communicating with their relatives. Every two weeks, Russians have the opportunity to physically call their relatives, and we demand the same from the Russian side,

Recently, Russia for the first time showed a video of communication with 119 Ukrainian soldiers in captivity. Some of them were verified as prisoners of war, and some were not. Some Ukrainians were even considered possibly dead. "We have three guys, according to our data, who were considered to be possibly dead," the ombudsman said.
During the visits, it was also noted that some of the detainees sent news of themselves via video communication, and some were even able to call Ukraine.
To recap,
According to Lubinets, the visit of 119 captured Ukrainian servicemen by the Russian ombudsman was not an easy arrangement. However, there are already plans to conduct three more visits by the end of the year to ensure the integrity of about 400 more Ukrainian defenders before the New Year holidays.
