Ukraine's Defense Minister Rustem Umerov met with his Italian counterpart Guido Crozetto to discuss key aspects of military assistance for the coming year. Among the main topics were the prospects of equipping Ukrainian military units with modern weapons and equipment.
A special emphasis was placed on the further development of air defense systems, which are critical for the protection of Ukrainian territory. Ukraine has already received significant support from Italy in this area and expects it to be strengthened.
The parties also discussed the possibility of implementing joint projects with leading Italian defense companies. Such cooperation opens up prospects for the integration of the latest technologies into Ukraine's military sector. The new aid package, which both countries are actively working on, is expected to significantly strengthen Ukraine's defense capabilities.
