According to the minister, together with the United States, Cyprus and other partners, the United Kingdom is deploying a new temporary pier off the coast of Gaza to receive aid.
The Royal Navy ship is on its way and ready to carry out both military and civilian operations, including rescue missions in the eastern Mediterranean and delivering aid from Cyprus to Gaza.

The UK Foreign Office has also pledged to provide logistics expertise and equipment, including forklifts and warehouse units, as well as up to £9.7 million in aid delivery.
