According to the American president, the agreement could prove to be significantly more valuable than $300 billion, as it provides the U.S. with the opportunity to work with Ukrainian deposits.

"If you remember, I made a deal. Theoretically, we will get our money back because we made a deal on rare earth metals and agreed that we could go in there. We have that deal. You know what I'm talking about. It may be worth much more than $300 billion because we can go in there. Ukraine is very rich, it has very fertile lands in terms of rare earth metals,"

Trump said.

At the same time, he emphasized that the relevant contract has already been signed between the parties.

"We have a signed contract concerning rare earth metals. We can go in there at any time we want and take practically anything we want. It was a very good deal,"

the U.S. president stated.
