Polish President Andrzej Duda plans to personally discuss the situation in Ukraine and the region with US President-elect Donald Trump, including in the context of American interests. He said this at a press conference with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte on November 13 in Warsaw, UNN reports.
Of course, the fact that I will be talking to President Donald Trump about Ukraine and presenting my point of view to the president is one thing. Secondly, I will show him the situation as we see it here, Ukraine's neighbors, who are directly in the zone of this ongoing Russian aggression against Ukraine. I will present, of course, not only the situation in Ukraine itself, but also the situation in our part of Europe, our point of view, the point of view of our neighbors, and generally what is happening here. As well as in the context of American interests
"And I am confident about this conversation with President Donald Trump in the future. And I am also calm when it comes to the political decisions that President Donald Trump will make, because I have no doubt that they will be wise decisions," the Polish president said.
He believes that "it is safe to say the following: we know that President Donald Trump as a person is a successful person, certainly a natural fighter, he loves to fight and, above all, he does not like to lose." "He is a winner. This is evidenced by the recent US elections," Duda added.
"President Donald Trump has great respect for the money of American taxpayers, and we know it too," the Polish president continued.
If you consider this, if you consider how much the United States has already invested in helping Ukraine, how much money has been transferred to the defenders of Ukraine under various formulas - military equipment, financial assistance - so that Ukraine can survive and defend itself, then my conclusions are obvious: I cannot imagine President Donald Trump allowing Russia to destroy Ukraine; Ukraine, in which the United States, in which the American taxpayer - whose money President Donald Trump will soon be responsible for when he takes office - has invested such huge sums. It's a matter of respect for the American taxpayer's money, and it's also a matter of American engagement. And America will not lose
