The U.S. State Department has issued a global warning for American citizens, urging them to exercise increased caution due to the escalation of the war between the U.S. and Iran. CNN reports, writes UNN.

The department noted that due to the aggravation of the situation in the Middle East, the security environment remains unstable and could lead to unpredictable escalation.

The department also warned that U.S. diplomatic facilities, including those outside the Middle East, have already been targeted by attacks. In addition, groups that support Iran may attack other American facilities abroad or locations associated with the U.S. and its citizens.
The warning was issued after the U.S. military reported the deaths of two servicemen and the disappearance of another as a result of Iranian strikes in Jordan.
The U.S. State Department last published a similar global warning for Americans in March.
