"Northern European countries realize that they need the support of the United States to protect themselves from Putin's aggressive Russia. The German government is also closely monitoring the agreements. At the same time, there is growing concern in Europe that U.S. assistance may weaken if Donald Trump returns to the White House in 2024," the publication reports.
