"As a result of hostilities and shelling of energy facilities, some consumers in Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Odesa, Kharkiv, Sumy, Poltava, and Kherson regions are temporarily left without electricity. The most difficult situation is in Sumy region," the Ministry of Energy reported.
As stated, in Sumy region, "due to damage to energy facilities as a result of hostilities and enemy shelling, the largest number of consumers have been cut off."
Energy workers are doing everything possible to restore electricity supply to all subscribers as quickly as possible. Restoration work continues around the clock, the ministry noted.
At the same time, the Ministry of Energy does not report whether power consumption restrictions are expected today. It only states that "learn about any changes in power supply on the official resources of your distribution system operators."
According to Ukrenergo, electricity consumption is showing an upward trend. Today, June 29, as of 09:30, it was 7.4% higher than at the same time on the previous working day – Friday. The reason for the changes is the establishment of hot weather throughout Ukraine, which causes massive use of air conditioners by consumers.
"Active energy consumption today should be shifted to the daytime - from 10:00 to 16:00. In the evening hours, we ask consumers, if possible, to use electricity sparingly - from 16:00 to 23:00. This helps reduce the load on the system," the Ministry of Energy urged.
Update
Ukrenergo indicated that no power supply restriction measures are planned for June 29.
Meanwhile, weather forecasters predict heat up to +38°.
Due to the heat, Ukraine's energy system will operate in a very tense mode in the coming days, and one should be prepared for various scenarios and have a power bank and charged gadgets, noted CEO of the energy company Yasno, Serhiy Kovalenko.
