The Ministry of Defense of Belarus said that units of one of the mechanized formations were brought to readiness to perform assigned tasks, UNN reports.
"The units of one of the mechanized formations have been put in readiness to perform their assigned tasks. The servicemen are loading military equipment onto railroad vehicles and starting to march in a combined manner to the designated areas," the Belarusian Defense Ministry said in a statement.

The day before, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Belarus gave instructions to strengthen the grouping of troops on the Gomel and Mozyr tactical directions in order to "respond to any possible provocations.
