Information is being circulated on social media and in some Telegram channels about the alleged death of a man near the Sykhiv District Territorial Recruitment and Social Support Center in Lviv, along with claims that he was supposedly "thrown out of a van." This information is untrue. The man is alive," the post says.
On August 22, the citizen was reportedly taken to the district Territorial Recruitment and Social Support Center. According to the center, he is a former law enforcement officer.
"We draw attention to the fact that after leaving service, men of the relevant age who hold special ranks and, under current legislation, are liable for military service remain registered for military duty and, in the absence of legal grounds for deferment, may be called up for military service during mobilization on general grounds," the institution emphasized.
The man was reportedly sent to undergo a military medical commission. After leaving the premises of the territorial center, he, according to the center, attempted to leave the place of escort. After that, his condition deteriorated. An emergency medical team was called to the scene, and the man was taken to one of the medical facilities in Lviv.
"At this time, his life and health are not in danger; he is under medical supervision. Further actions will be determined in accordance with the results of the medical examination and the requirements of current legislation," the Territorial Recruitment and Social Support Center said in its post.
