The Center for Countering Disinformation of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine (CCD) is recording a large-scale expansion of the network of "Avangard" and "Voin" military-patriotic centers operating on the territory of the Russian Federation and the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine. This is reported by UNN.
Details
It is noted that over 50 billion rubles (approximately $640 million) from the Russian state budget has already been spent on the functioning of this system.
The main goal of such structures is the militarization of youth, the imposition of a cult of war, and the preparation of minors for participation in armed aggression. Within the framework of the programs, schoolchildren are taught weapon handling, tactical medicine, the basics of assault operations, and military discipline
It is indicated that the Russian authorities are integrating such training camps into the school curriculum, effectively depriving children and parents of the opportunity to refuse participation, as non-participation can create problems with children's admission to certification and the educational process.
"The Kremlin continues to invest significant resources not in the development of education or social infrastructure, but in the formation of a generation raised on the cult of war, hatred, and revanchism. This is another piece of evidence of the Russian Federation's long-term strategy regarding the militarization of society and preparation for a protracted confrontation," the CCD concludes.
As a reminder
According to the National Resistance Center of the SOF of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the occupiers have created a network of 210 camps and 400 cadet classes for the assimilation of youth. 600,000 Ukrainian children have already been involved in propaganda movements.
