Over the past week, 132,903 Ukrainians fell ill with ARVI. This is 15.3% lower than the previous week and 23.6% below the epidemic threshold calculated for Ukraine. This is reported by the Center for Public Health of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine, reports UNN.

"During the epidemic week from March 31 to April 6, 2025, 132,903 people fell ill with ARVI, including 71,911 children. This is 15.3% lower than the previous week," the Public Health Center reported.
According to the Public Health Center, three deaths were registered among patients diagnosed with "influenza". The deceased had no preventive vaccinations against influenza.
Over the past reporting week, 164 patients with a positive COVID-19 test result were registered. No deaths were registered among them.
The circulation of influenza viruses has been established in 18 (72%) regions, which indicates a wide geographical distribution of influenza viruses in Ukraine.
Exceeding the epidemic threshold of a low level was registered in Zhytomyr, Lviv, Ternopil and Cherkasy regions. In other regions of Ukraine and the city of Kyiv, the situation with epidemic activity is stable, a pre-epidemic level is observed.
But in general, as indicated, the intensive incidence rate of ARVI, including COVID-19, is 23.6% less than the epidemic threshold calculated for Ukraine, and 15.3% less than the same indicator last week.
Situation since the beginning of the epidemic season
According to the Center for Public Health, during the epidemic season, from September 30, 2024 to April 06, 2025, 3,992,903 people fell ill with ARVI (11.1% of the country's population), which is 3.8% less than the same period of the 2023-2024 season.
Since the beginning of the current epidemic season, 185 deaths from influenza and ARVI have been recorded.
