The U.S. House of Representatives held a procedural vote that allowed four foreign aid bills, including aid to Ukraine, to be brought to a vote by the full House later.

On April 19, the U.S. House of Representatives held a procedural vote on four bills on foreign aid, including Ukraine, which allows them to be submitted to the House later. This was reported by The Hill, according to UNN.

Details 

In favor of the procedure voted 316 members of the lower house of the US Congress, 94 voted against. A simple majority of 218 votes was enough to pass the resolution.

According to the newspaper, this step allows the House of Representatives to consider four bills on assistance to allies and other factors that provide for the protection of US national security.

The preliminary debate will take place  on Saturday, April 20.  On that day, members of the chamber will consider all the amendments that passed the procedural committee the day before, and then put the bills to a vote one by one.

The U.S. House of Representatives unveiled a bill that would provide $60.8 billion in aid to Ukraine and regional partners to counter Russia, including $49.9 billion for defense spending and $9.5 billion in economic assistance to Ukraine and countries affected by Russian aggression.

U.S. President Joe Biden assured that he would immediately sign the bills by U.S. House Speaker Mike Johnson to help Ukraine, Israel and Taiwan after they are approved by Congress.
