The Ukraine-EU Association Council is gathering for the tenth time today, and Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal has already arrived in Brussels at the head of the government team to co-chair the meeting. As the Council of the EU reported, the tenth meeting of the Ukraine-EU Association Council will take place in Brussels on April 9, 2025, to discuss political issues and bilateral relations.
"During the closed meeting, the EU and Ukraine will exchange views on the situation following Russia's war of aggression, focusing on the military, economic and humanitarian situation on the ground and the response to Russia's war," the statement said.
Then, as indicated, the parties will touch on broader global and regional issues.
Finally, the participants of the meeting, as noted, will exchange views on the bilateral agenda, touching on:
- implementation of the Association Agreement since the beginning of the Russian war of aggression;
- reconstruction and reform in Ukraine;
- EU financial assistance.
The meeting will be chaired by the Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal, and the EU representation will be headed by the High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Kaja Kallas.
