The Ministry of Defense has so far allocated an additional UAH 1 billion 890 million for the purchase of drones. 55% of this amount will be spent on Mavic drones, including night vision models, which are especially needed on the contact line. 18% of the amount will be spent on the purchase of FPV kamikazes. In addition, significant funds will be allocated for reconnaissance UAVs, bombers and spare parts for them. This order of the Minister of Defense will be implemented as soon as possible Procurement for public funds is carried out by

- Lazutkin said.

He answered for which brigades the UAVs would be purchased and whether the number would depend on the situation at the front.

Absolutely. The brigades will place their orders independently, as we are talking about purchasing UAVs through decentralized procurement. Those brigades that are on the front line, depending on their needs, will make requests

- said the Defense Ministry spokesman.

He noted that the brigades will independently determine which drones they need to perform combat missions. Each brigade works in its own area, has specific tasks that may differ depending on the situation on the contact line.

According to Lazutkin, the Defense Ministry will spend more than 100 billion hryvnias on drones this year.

This is a very important component - strengthening the technological capabilities of the Armed Forces. Because we know that warfare is becoming more and more technological, and ensuring technological superiority over the enemy is a key factor in increasing the country's defense capability
