Tesla is discontinuing production of the Model X, which simultaneously became the fastest-selling used car in March 2026. This was reported by Autoblog, according to UNN.

According to an iSeeCars study, the Model X sold in an average of 25.6 days, significantly faster than the market average. Second place was taken by the Lexus RX 350h, and third by the Honda Civic Hybrid.
Demand in the Secondary Market
The study covered 6.7 million vehicles aged one to five years sold in the first quarter of 2025 and 2026. It showed that Tesla electric vehicles remain the fastest-selling among used cars—averaging 32.4 days.

For comparison, gasoline-powered cars sold in an average of 54.1 days, hybrids in 54.4 days, and electric vehicles from other manufacturers in 60.1 days.
Prices for used Teslas remained stable, while electric vehicles from other brands dropped in price by 10.3%.
Reasons and Trends
Experts note that the discontinuation of Model X production could have stimulated demand, as the model may become rarer. The car's popularity is also attributed to its recognizable design, particularly the "falcon-wing" doors.
At the same time, the study records a growing interest in hybrid vehicles, which are seen as an alternative for buyers not yet ready to fully transition to electric vehicles.
