Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi reported that he made a working trip to one of the hottest areas on the front, the Kostiantynivka direction, and noted that in Kostiantynivka, where Russian occupiers have accumulated up to 145 people, the Defense Forces continue counter-sabotage measures, reports UNN.

"Another working trip – to the area of combat operations in the Kostiantynivka direction. I heard reports from the leadership of the 19th Army Corps, commanders of combat brigades and units on the operational situation and the state of affairs in all types of support. The main focus is on increasing the use of unmanned systems of all types to enhance fire impact on the enemy and reduce risks to the lives of personnel. Our defense remains active. Drones necessarily go first – both for detecting the enemy and for striking them," Syrskyi stated on social media on Monday.
The Commander-in-Chief reported that he "familiarized himself with the details of the current situation in Kostiantynivka. We discussed with the commanders potential new challenges and possible options for countering them."
"The Kostiantynivka direction remains one of the hottest along the entire length of the front line. On average, the enemy carries out up to 20 attacks here daily, and does not stop attempts to infiltrate deep into the city," Syrskyi noted.
"According to intelligence data, in Kostiantynivka, Russian occupiers have accumulated up to 145 people. Units of the Defense Forces continue counter-sabotage measures in the city. To detect and destroy enemy infantry and firing positions, our soldiers conduct search-and-strike operations, massively using FPV drones and drops from UAVs. The invaders suffer significant losses. For example, in just one day on July 18, enemy losses in the city amounted to 21 killed and 6 wounded. Six shelters were struck," the Commander-in-Chief reported.
According to him, "the task before Ukrainian defenders is to protect Kostiantynivka and inflict maximum damage on the occupiers, and we are fulfilling it."
"I want to note the high level of professionalism of the commanders, the courage and resilience of the defenders of the Ukrainian city. Thank you for your combat work! The struggle continues. Glory to Ukraine!" he emphasized.
