On August 24, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi awarded the Ukrainian military who are taking part in the operation in the Kursk region. Syrskyi announced this in Telegram, UNN reports .

On August 20, the Verkhovna Rada voted in favor of a bill on social protection of Ukrainian military personnel. The document guarantees the military fighting in Russia, in particular in the Kursk region, the same benefits and preferences as those on the front line.
