Switzerland and Sweden allocate 12 million euros for Ukraine's grain program

Switzerland and Sweden have allocated almost €12 million for the humanitarian food program "Grain from Ukraine". This is reported by the Prime Minister of Sweden and the Swiss Embassy in Ukraine, UNN reports.

Details

During the food security summit in Kyiv, Swiss President Alain Berset announced that Switzerland would contribute to the relief effort by transferring 3 million francs.

According to him, about 11 million Ukrainians are in need of humanitarian aid because of Russia's aggressive war.

In addition, Sweden has announced the allocation of an additional 8 million euros for the implementation of the Grain From Ukraine initiative, which aims to transport Ukrainian grain to the poorest countries.

During a press conference following the Grain from Ukraine International Summit, President Volodymyr Zelenskiy said that Ukraine has attracted $180 million through the Grain from Ukraine program, and 170,000 tons of grain have been delivered to African countries.
