Ukrainian tennis player Elina Svitolina has finished her performance at the WTA 500 tournament in Washington, USA, losing in the quarterfinals to Philippine representative Alexandra Eala, reports UNN citing the Great Tennis of Ukraine.

In the quarterfinal match, Elina Svitolina lost to Alexandra Eala with a score of 3:6, 4:6. The match lasted just over an hour and a half of playing time.
"In the second set, Svitolina led 3:1 but failed to hold her advantage, losing three games in a row," the post reads.
The tennis players played their second head-to-head match — in mid-June, Eala defeated Svitolina with exactly the same score in the quarterfinals of the WTA 500 tournament in Berlin.
Next week, Elina Svitolina will take part in the WTA 1000 tournament in Toronto, where she received the 9th seed and will start her performance from the second round.
