Law enforcement agencies of the Republic of Poland have detained a 47-year-old citizen of Ukraine on suspicion of collaborating with Russian special services.

The spokesman of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Poland, Jacek Dobrzyński, stated that the Ukrainian was detained by employees of the Internal Security Agency on the territory of the Mazowieckie Voivodeship. He is accused of carrying out espionage activities, namely reconnaissance of military facilities on Polish territory.
Based on the evidence collected by employees of the Polish special services, the prosecutor's office charged the detainee with espionage against Poland, and the Warsaw District Court sent the Ukrainian to custody for three months.
