Students who continue to study at Ukrainian universities but have left Ukraine may be deprived of scholarships. Deputy Minister of Education and Science Mykhailo Vynnytskyi said this during a national telethon, UNN reports .
According to him, Zelensky personally drew attention to this issue.
Zelensky drew our attention to the fact that we have scholarship holders in higher education who are actually abroad. This is one of the analyzes we will be conducting, because we should not pay scholarships to those students who are abroad. If we do not pay scholarships to students who are abroad, they can continue to study. But there is the issue of scholarships. It will probably be blocked," Vynnytsky said.
According to him, this will lead to savings that will allow increasing scholarships for students who stayed in Ukraine. "We still have to help students who stay in Ukraine, who are building our country together with us. Academic scholarships are just for them to get the knowledge they need to win and will need after the victory," the official added.
