Deep Strike units of the Special Operations Forces successfully struck the Yaroslavl Oil Refinery in Russia on the night of June 28, which is one of the key enterprises of the fuel system of the country's central region. This was reported by UNN with reference to the SSO.
Details
The operation was carried out in cooperation with the underground resistance movement "Black Spark." The SSO noted that the Yaroslavl refinery is among the top five largest oil refineries in the Russian Federation with a capacity of about 15 million tons of oil per year and produces gasoline, diesel fuel, and aviation kerosene.
The Special Operations Forces emphasized that the enterprise is of critical importance for supplying fuel to Moscow and the entire Central Federal District of Russia, so its destruction is a significant blow to the logistical capabilities of the aggressor country.
The SSO added that they will continue to impose "long-range sanctions" on Russia's oil and gas industry.
Reminder
Earlier, Zelenskyy reported that FP-5 "Flamingo" missiles successfully struck the "Titan-Barricades" plant in Volgograd overnight, which produces artillery systems, launchers, and components for missile systems.
