A phone was found next to the body, which, according to preliminary data, contained his last wish before his death. However, the media reported that the phone's screen saver had Anna Sedokova's number and a request to call. According to Russian media, the athlete committed suicide.
Sedokova and Janis Timma have been together for about five years: they got married in September 2020. They recently broke up - Sedokova officially filed for divorce on November 16, and announced her intention on Instagram on September 7.
